Install theme via WordPress
Go in WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes.
At the top of the page click the ‘Add New’ button , then the ‘Upload Theme’ button.
Click ‘Choose File’ and find the theme files you’ve just downloaded from themeforest ( educationpack.zip )
The next step will the the activation of the theme, go in WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and click the Activate button.
Note: If you get this error message: ” The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme install failed.” it means that you have uploaded the wrong zip. Please be sure to upload the file educationpack.zip and not the main zip.
Install/Activate Required Plugins
After the theme activation at the top of the screen you will find a notice with the “Required Plugins”.
You have to click on “Begin installing plugins” and you be redirect to a page where you have to install them.
After the installation you have to click on “Return to Required Plugins Installer” and here to have to activate them.
Note: if you have problem with the installation please contact your server provider.
Remove the default content
Go in: Dashboard > Post > remove the default post “Hallo World”
Go in: Dashboard > Pages > remove the default page “Sample Page”
Import the theme option content. Go in WordPress Dashboard > Theme Option > Import/Export. Open the demo folder that you prefer and open the file “nd-shortcodes-export.txt (all the parts)” with a text editor ( as sublime text or note ), copy all content file and paste it in “Import Settings”.
Import the nd-learning content. Go in WordPress Dashboard > Learning Plugin > Import/Export. Open the demo folder that you prefer and open the file “nd-learning-export.txt” with a text editor ( as sublime text or note ), copy all content file and paste it in “Import Settings”.
Import the dummy content. Go in WordPress Dashboard > Tools > Import > WordPress > Run Importer. In the “All Files & Documenattion” folder you will find all demo content and you to have open the folder of your demo folder that you would like to import and get the file with this extension .xml. In the “Import WordPress” page celect as “Import author” your administrator user. Then check “Download and import file attachments” > hit “submit” button
Import all sliders. Go to Revolution Slider -> Import Slide and upload all slides that you can find in the “Import Files/Slider” folder. You can also the check the article here.
Note: If you have trouble importing the content please write to yourserver provider because probably there are problems with permits or memory.
Enable the demo default menu, please go in your Dashboard > Appearance > select from the drop down the “Main Menu” menu and in the “Menu Settings” set it as a “Main Menu”.
For set the Home Page as a front page you go in the Dashboard > Settings > Reading and check “Front page displays”, choose as static page the “Home” or an other page if you want.
By default Visual Composer is enable only in Pages and if you want to enable it also in the other Post types please check here.
For the proper functioning of the component Gmaps MArker you have to add your personal API Key. Create your Api key here and then go in your Dashboard > Theme Options -> Locations -> Api key and insert your Key.
If you want to use Woocommerce please be sure to assign the default pages: Cart – Checkout – My account – Shop in Woocommerce Settings.
Note: If after importing the dummy content you display the page title in the Home page please go in your page and, at the end of the content, flag “title” in title in the metabox “Nd Options Page”
